Peixes Passaros Pessoas

Born in São Paulo, young singer Mariana Aydar started out as part of folk guitarist Miltinho Ediberto’s group and later went on to perform with Banda Caruá with Chico Cesar and Virginia Rosa. Arriving in Paris in 2004, she played as the opening act on several of Seu Jorge’s European tour dates. The experience awakened her to the power of samba as the quintessential Brazilian music. On her return to Brazil she released her debut album Kavita 1 featuring new compositions and covers of Brazilian pop classics. In 2009 she released her second album Peixes, Passaros, Pessoas which add pop-rock flavours to the mix.
